This Sunday at 4pm on my 107one Fine Tuning program I'll be featuring the politically-charged Ry Cooder album Election Special, plus tracks by Divine Fits (featuring Spoon's Britt Daniel) and Dead Can Dance (their first new album in over 15 years comes out in August).

This Sunday at 4pm on my 107one Fine Tuning program I'll be featuring 'Big Station,' the new studio effort by Texas-born singer-songwriter Alejandro Escovedo. Produced by Tony Visconti, best known for his many collaborations with David Bowie, I think this ranks as one of Alejandro's finest albums ever.

Fine Tuning preview: 6/3/12

This Sunday at 4pm on my 107one Fine Tuning program I'll be featuring the new albums by Shawn Colvin ("All Fall Down") and Kelly Hogan ("I Like To Keep Myself In Pain"). I'll also tell you all about Patti Smith's spectacular performance last Thursday in the Rivera Court at the Detroit Institute of Arts. The punk-rock icon was back in town for the opening of her DIA photo exhibition "Patti Smith: Camera Solo."
