This Sunday in the album spotlight on Fine Tuning I'll be featuring "J.T.," the new studio album by Steve Earle & The Dukes. The album serves as a tribute to Steve Earle's son Justin Townes Earle, who passed away at the age of 38 last August. Also in the mix will be a 60th birthday tribute to British singer-songwriter Lloyd Cole along with new music by Arlo Parks, Ani DiFranco, Valerie June, Sturgill Simpson & Andrew Bird. Fine Tuning: 1/24/21

This Sunday on Fine Tuning our focus will be on Jeff Daniels, Bruce Cockburn & Raul Malo, performers at the 44th Ann Arbor Festival. The Folk Fest, the biggest fundraising event of the year for The Ark, will be virtual this year due to COVID. Raul Malo headlines on Friday, January 29th, Bruce Cockburn tops the bill on Saturday, January 30th, and Jeff Daniels will emcee the proceedings both nights. Besides playing songs by all three musicians, I'll also feature my recent interview with Jeff Daniels, where we discuss his new album "Alive and Well Enough" and much more. Fine Tuning preview: 1/17/21

This Sunday in the album spotlight on Fine Tuning I'll feature the 50th anniversary reissue of "Lola Versus Powerman and the Moneygoround: Part One," by the Kinks. The album includes the smash hit single "Lola," which hit the top 10 in the U.S. & U.K., and also contains many other iconic Kinks tracks, including "Top of the Pops," "Apeman" and "Strangers." Fine Tuning preview: 1/10/21

This Sunday on the first Fine Tuning of 2021 I'll devote the entire show to the music of David Bowie. Bowie released his final album "Blackstar" five years ago today, and he died two days later on January 10, 2016.
