This Sunday at 4 pm on my 107one Fine Tuning program I'll be featuring the fantastic new Paul McCartney album "New," his first album of all new songs since 2007's "Memory Almost Full."  

Fine Tuning preview: 10/13/13

On this gloriously beautiful autumn afternoon, I'll kick off today's Fine Tuning program with an equally beautiful version of the standard "Autumn Leaves," featuring Cannonball Adderley on alto sax and Miles Davis on trumpet.  I'll also be featuring the newly reissued "Classified" album from the late, great New Orleans pianist James Booker, plus more from the fantastic new release "Dream River" from indie singer-songwriter Bill Callahan, easily one of my favorite albums of 2013 so far.  Fine Tuning starts at 4 pm this afternoon on ann arbor's 107one, WQKL-FM.

This Sunday at 4 pm on Fine Tuning I'll be playing songs from the terrific new albums by Amos Lee ("Mountains of Sorrow, Rivers of Song") and Bill Callahan ("Dream River").  And look for my interview with Bill Callahan next Thursday in the Detroit Free Press, the Q&A to preview his Oct. 11 concert in Detroit at Trinosophes.
