Fine Tuning preview: 2/2/14

This Sunday at 4 pm on Fine Tuning I'll pay tribute to folk legend and social activist Pete Seeger, who died on Jan. 27 at the age of 94.  And I'll also be featuring tracks from the new Broken Bells album "After the Disco," plus the latest from Elbow, G. Love & Special Sauce and Nicole Atkins. 

Fine Tuning preview: 1/26/14

This Sunday at 4 pm on Fine Tuning I'll be featuring music from Patty Griffin, Iron & Wine, Jeff Daniels and Willie Nile, who will all be appearing at Hill Auditorium this coming weekend as part of the Ann Arbor Folk Festival.  Also in the mix will be selections from the Peter Gabriel covers album "And I'll Scratch Yours," which includes Feist, David Byrne, Lou Reed and Arcade Fire.

Fine Tuning preview: 1/17/14

This Sunday at 4pm on Fine Tuning I'll be featuring the new "Sweetheart 2014" compilation album, which includes Beck (covering John Lennon's 'Love'), Sharon Jones (covering Stevie Wonder's 'Signed, Sealed, Delivered I'm Yours'), The Head and the Heart (covering Harry Nilsson's 'Don't Forget Me') and Valerie June (covering the Carter Family's 'Happy or Lonesome').

Fine Tuning preview: 1/12/14

This Sunday at 4 pm on Fine Tuning I'll pay tribute to Phil Everly of the Everly Brothers, who died on Jan. 3 at the age of 74.  Besides lots of Everly Bros. tunes I'll be featuring selections from the terrific new album of Everly covers, "Foreverly," by Norah Jones and Green Day's Billie Joe Armstrong.  That plus the sensational new single by St. Vincent ("Digital Witness") and new music from Beck.
