This Sunday at 4 pm on my 107one Fine Tuning program I'll pay tribute to Stooges drummer Scott "Rock Action" Asheton, who died on March 15 at the age of 64.  That plus music from Kate Bush, who just announced her first tour in 35 (!) years.

Fine Tuning preview: 3/16/14

This Sunday at 4 pm on my 107one Fine Tuning program I'll be playing music from Dean Wareham's new, self-titled solo album.  Formerly the leader of indie-rock bands Galaxie 500 & Luna, Dean will be supporting his new release with a performance at Ferndale's Magic Bag on Thursday, April 10.  I'll also be featuring music from the terrific and terrifically over-looked UK band Family, active during the late 60s & early 70s.

This Sunday at 4 pm on Fine Tuning I'll be featuring the fantastic new album from Elbow, the progressive-rock band out of Manchester, England.  Their sixth studio release is called "The Take Off and Landing of Everything" and it ranks as one of their finest efforts to date.

Fine Tuning preview: 3/2/14

Today at 4 pm on Fine Tuning I'll be featuring the brand new, self-titled album by St. Vincent --- aka Annie Clark.  A sensational exercise in boundary pushing art-rock, this one is receiving rave reviews across the board.  And in honor of all the nominees at tonight's Oscar Awards, I'll kick off the show with "Celluloid Heroes" by the Kinks.
