Fine Tuning preview: 11/1/15

This Sunday on Fine Tuning I'll be featuring 'HWY 62,' the brilliant new album from singer-songwriter Peter Case, formerly of the Nerves and the Plimsouls.  I last saw Peter when I interviewed him at the 2013 Ypsi Song Fest and I am thrilled to see him finally release his first album of new songs in over five years!  Also in the mix will be birthday tributes to K.D. Fine Tuning preview: 10/11/15

Lots of music to get to this Sunday on Fine Tuning, including the new album by Duncan Sheik ('Legerdemain') and the first release in 15 years by French musician-producer Ludovic Navarre, who records under the name St. Germain. We'll also get to tunes by Patti Smith, who visits the Michigan Theater this coming Monday to read from and sign copies of her new book 'M Train;' and indie-rockers Luna (seen below), reformed after a ten year split and playing next Thursday at St. Andrew's Hall. Lots to get to this Sunday on Fine Tuning, including indie-rocker Kurt Vile's new album 'b'lieve i'm goin down,' lots of Bill Withers tunes (lots of artists paid tribute to Bill last night at a Carnegie Hall show in NYC --- Bill is pictured below), a set of Kraftwerk tracks (the techno pioneers play at Masonic this Monday), and a birthday tribute to John Lennon (Oct. 9 would have been his 75th birthday).
