Fine Tuning preview: 7/28/19

This Sunday in the album spotlight on Fine Tuning I'll be featuring "The Gus," the critically-acclaimed new album from singer-songwriter Mark Mulcahy. Also in the mix will be a 61st birthday tribute to Kate Bush, a 40th anniversary tribute to the Talking Heads album "Fear of Music," plus tracks from Roxy Music's "Avalon" album --- Bryan Ferry will showcase that classic Roxy album when he performs at the Fox Theatre on Aug. 3. Fine Tuning preview: 7/14/19

This Sunday on Fine Tuning I'll pay tribute to the legendary Brazilian musician Joao Gilberto, who died on July 6th at the age of 88. One of the primary creators of bossa nova, Gilberto is best known for singing and playing guitar on the 1964 smash hit single "The Girl From Ipanema," which also featured his then-wife Astrud Gilberto on vocals and Stan Getz on tenor saxophone.
