1. LORD HURON: LONG LOST
This Sunday on the final Fine Tuning of 2021 I'll play songs from my top ten favorite albums of the past year --- please join me! Fine Tuning: Sundays from 4 to 6 p.m. on ann arbor's 107one.
Please join me this Sunday on Fine Tuning for an annual tradition --- I'll play the Vince Guaraldi Trio's classic "A Charlie Brown Christmas" album from 1965 in its entirety. Also in the mix will be selections from two brand new Christmas albums: "I Dream of Christmas," by Norah Jones; and "O Come All Ye Faithful," by Hiss Golden Messenger. Fine Tuning: Sundays from 4 to 6 p.m. on ann arbor's 107one.
This Sunday on Fine Tuning I'll feature "Another Side," a previously unreleased album recorded in the 1970's by Leo Nocentelli, one of the founding members of the legendary New Orleans band the Meters. This fantastic album—which could have easily become a classic in the ‘70s singer-songwriter canon—sat untouched for decades; miraculously surviving the devastating blow of Hurricane Katrina, only to be found 2,000 miles away at a Southern California swap meet in 2018 by record collector Mike Nishita. Also in the mix will be songs from "Barn," the brand new release by Neil Young & Crazy Horse, plus I'll do birthday tributes to Tom Verlaine of Television and Keith Richards of the Stones. Fine Tuning: Sundays from 4 to 6 p.m. on ann arbor's 107one.
This Sunday on Fine Tuning I'll be featuring (in its entirety) the beautiful and uplifting "Flying Dream 1," the new studio album from Elbow. Also in the mix will be new music by Anais Mitchell and a 72nd birthday tribute to Tom Waits. Fine Tuning: Sundays from 4 to 6 p.m. on ann arbor's 107one.
