Fine Tuning preview: 4/13/25

This Sunday on Fine Tuning I'll be featuring "Always Been," the sixth solo recording by Craig Finn of The Hold Steady. The album is notably produced by Adam Granduciel of The War on Drugs, who plays guitar on it as well. Also in the mix will be new tunes from Stereolab and Lord Huron, plus birthday tributes to Dusty Springfield and Little Feat's Lowell George. Fine Tuning preview: 4/6/25

 Tomorrow's Fine Tuning program is dedicated to the memory of my beloved mom, Helen Bandyke, who passed away peacefully on March 29th, her 104th birthday. I was truly blessed and fortunate to have a mom who was so supportive and devoted! This picture of us was taken by my wife Kim Silarski when we took mom out for lunch at M & M Cafe in Dearborn to celebrate her 94th birthday. To give you a little perspective about Helen's extraordinarily long life, she was born right around the time the very first radio station began broadcasting in Michigan!
